About US Recall Registry

An independent consumer safety information platform

Independence & Non-Affiliation Disclosure

US Recall Registry is an independent consumer safety information platform. It is not a United States government agency and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), or the United States Government.

Recall data presented on this platform is sourced from official federal agency records and is presented for informational purposes only. Always verify information against the originating agency's official record before taking action.

What Is US Recall Registry?

US Recall Registry is a consumer safety information platform that aggregates recall notices from major U.S. federal regulatory agencies into a single searchable database. Our goal is to make recall information more accessible to consumers, caregivers, and safety professionals.

We index recall data from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA FSIS), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

This platform is currently in development. Recall data shown is illustrative demo data only and does not represent verified real-world recall records. Live API integration with federal agency data sources is pending.

Data Sources & Methodology

All recall records are sourced from official federal agency APIs and public datasets. US Recall Registry does not create, modify, or editorialize recall classifications. Severity classifications (Class I, II, III) are reproduced as issued by the originating agency and are not applied by US Recall Registry independently.

Where US Recall Registry provides any summary, normalization, or interpretation, it is clearly distinguished from the source agency's original record. Each record includes a direct link to the originating agency's official notice.

The information provided on US Recall Registry is for general informational purposes only. While we strive to keep recall information accurate and current, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the information.

US Recall Registry is not a substitute for official government recall notices. For official recall information, always consult the originating federal agency directly. Links to official agency records are provided with each recall entry.

Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice. For legal questions about your rights as a consumer, consult a qualified attorney.

Accessibility Statement

US Recall Registry is committed to making consumer safety information accessible to all users. We implement accessibility features including semantic HTML, keyboard navigation support, visible focus indicators, sufficient color contrast, descriptive link text, proper form labels, accessible data tables, and screen-reader-friendly status and severity information.

We do not claim WCAG 2.1 AA certification or Section 508 verification, as formal certification requires independent third-party audit. We are actively working to improve accessibility across the platform.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us at [email protected].
